Chai tea is a term for black tea with various (usually indian) spices -- cardamom, cinnamon, and clove are all popular. The black tea is from the tea plant, the leaves are withered, bruised, fermented, and fired or dryed. Then the tea is flavored with the spices to make it into chai. Chai is often served with plenty of milk and sugar.

Chamomile tea is technically not tea at all, since all tea comes from the same plant. Chamomile is technially a tisane or infusion. It is simply the buds of the chamomile plant dried and then brewed like tea.
