I believe they are moisture spots from hot things such as coffee or a hot pan off the stove. It comes right off with tooth paste tough!! regular tooth paste not the gel kind! put regular tooth paste into it rub it in and then wipe it off with a room temperature water on a wash cloth and it comes right off its an amazing miracle!!
