I don't know about meat in general, but as for pork, there's an answer. If you pour Coke on pork and let it sit for several(3-4) minutes then your start to see these tiny white worms. However, if you add more Coke and let it sit for a couple of hours, you will see magots. It's gross but it is true. There are videos on YouTube with real people doing this, even a doctor tested it out!
