The Piccolo is similar to the flute but the flute place an octave lower and the flute is double the size of a piccolo. It has a range of nearly three octaves and reaches the highest pitches of a modern orchestra .The piccolo was mainly made out of wood and was featured in man famous composers' works. One of the earliest pieces to use the piccolo was Beethoven's Fifth Symphony.
A good conditioned used one!!

Piccolo used to be a Namekian child living on the planet Namek, but was sent to Earth by the Grand Elder. There, Piccolo grew to be an adult. When Piccolo was asleep, his personalities split, one good, on evil. The good one was called Kame, he lived in the clouds. The other, Piccolo, lived on Earth. This was when the dragon balls actually came into effect. That is why the Grand Elder sent him. Piccolo fought Son Goku, but eventually they became friends. Piccolo actually went back to his home planet because of the "Siege of Frieza".
With the flutes. One of the flautists usually doubles on the piccolo when required.
Yes, picollo's are used in full-sized orchestras, the London Symphony Orchestra use them in their performances. In fact, every orchestra uses one or more piccolo when the music requires this.
Some of Antonio Vivaldi's compositions are "Fall", "Winter", "Summer" and "Winter" they are all part of one huge composition called "The Four Seasons"
piccolo has a higher pitch than the flute. Piccolo and flute have the same fingerings and notes it just sounds like the piccolo is playing a higher note but they arent
A piccolo is one octave higher than a flute.
over all the piccolo is one octave higher then the flute. Which means that the piccolo is higher but sometimes in band pieces the piccolo part is one octave down then the flute part so the piccolo will be playing in the same octave but most of the time the piccolo part will be one octave up from the flute for as example if a person plays a low b flat on the flute and an other person played the low b flat on the piccolo there will be an octave difference I hope this makes sense to you.
The piccolo plays one octave higher than the flute.
Hey,I play the flute and I want to take up the piccolo too!! Well it's kinda hard to find a cheap piccolo that won't fall apart. maybe try a good conditioned used one. The type of piccolo depends on what you'll be using it for.If you're planning on using it for a marching band get a plastic one.if you're planning to use it for concerts only get a wood one. i hope this info helped.Good luck plaing that piccolo!!I hope that I get one to!! ~Your Friend, Neonatology12
