Coffee is beat brewed between 92oC and 96oC (197.6 - 204.8oF) Tea is a complex beverage and can be brewed at differing temperatures depending on the type:

• Green Teas: 180oF (80oC)
• Semi-Fermented teas: 195oF (93oC)
• Black Teas: 212oF (100oC)

In either case, the temperature of tea or coffee as served will be 10oC or so less than the brewing temperature

Brewing Tea:

Different teas require different temperatures for optimal brewing.

Black tea is usually brewed as close to boiling as possible - 212 degrees Fahrenheit or 100 degrees Celsius. Green tea usually needs to be brewed at a much lower temperature, or it will scald, ranging from 160-180 degrees Fahrenheit, or about 71-82 Celsius. Gyokuro, a type of Japanese green tea, is often brewed with even lower temperatures, 140-160 Fahrenheit (60-71 Celsius).

White tea is usually brewed similarly to green tea, but some darker white teas can handle higher temperatures. Coffee is typically brewed with water that is about 195-205 Fahrenheit (91-96 Celsius). Some people prefer brewing at a slightly low temperature, as low as 190 Fahrenheit / 88 Celsius, for a smoother cup.
