Her paintings change hands at widely varying prices, from a few hundred to a few thousand but I would expect the original Mandolin to be worth a lot since Ha Van Vuong is such a popular and engimatic artist.

Ha van Vuong is, I believe, a Vietnamese artist born in 1914. Her most famous painting is Mandolin, which graces many a student's walls. The company Athena International used to sell a number of prints of her works but they are quite hard to come by. She worked in pencil, watercolours and oil. Paintings of Ha van Vuongs include: Mandolin Zither Drummers Roses Tulips Chrysanthemums Helping Mother The Banana Sellers Autumn The Kitchen Table Itinerant Singer (1975) is in the Tate Collection but not on public display I would love to find out more information myself. Maybe someone will write a book about her.

The value of a Ha-Van-Vuong picture can vary significantly based on factors such as its condition, provenance, size, and the current market demand for the artist's work. To determine its worth, you might consider consulting recent auction results, art appraisers, or galleries specializing in Vietnamese art. Additionally, online platforms or art valuation services can provide insights into its market value. Ultimately, obtaining a professional appraisal would give you the most accurate estimate.
