Pick a time period and geographical local and ask about the beverages. No doubt kings tended to drink the best of what everyone drank. The same is true with the pharaohs. Both probably drank more wine than beer. Perhaps you are thinking of mead, the drink of the gods, pharaohs and Vikings or perhaps Budweisser the (alleged) King of Beers.
