People drink whiskey "on the rocks" (meaning with ice), straight, or in mixed drinks.
2 sharp rocks and a bottle of whiskey my man
Old Overholt Rye Whiskey Old Overholt is a rye whiskey that's been around since the early 1800s. It's made with at least 51% rye, plus some corn and barley, and has a warm, spicy flavor. You can drink it neat, on the rocks, chilled, or in a cocktail
it means wiskey on ice, and your sister on somebodies mouth
Whiskey is whiskey because whiskey is distilled in whiskey farms, by distillers of whiskey. My friend who was there at the time of this rebellion, Bethsarh, informs me "I was distraught by the loss of mon3y because my whiskey was not whiskey enough for the whiskey seller in the market of whiskey selling."
Scotch is an alcoholic beverage. Served on the rocks means served with ice, poured over ice. Means drinking Scotch whiskey poured over ice only - no other mixers including water.
Scotch whiskey is a contradiction, Scotch is whisky. Frank Sinatra drank Jack Daniels on the Rocks. 2 fingers of Jack, 4 ice cubes, and topped off with water (not tap water!).
Bourbon is a type of whiskey, so bourbon is a type of whiskey.
It means exactly that: a glass of water on the side. Some people drink whiskey and water together, in the same glass, or whiskey with a few ice cubes (on the rocks). Other people prefer to have the water or the ice cubes on the side. I think the only reason for the water/ice is to slow down your drinking, so you don't get too drunk. It certainly does not make the whiskey taste any better.
WhiskEy is from Ireland, whiskey is from Scotland and elsewhere.
