"Gatorade" is named after the University of Florida Gators. It was there in 1965 that then Gators football head coach Ray Graves asked the Univeristy of Florida College of Medicine to come up with a hydrating replacement for fluids lost by players during games. Gatorade was the end result of their research, and was subsequently used by the Gators during their games.
The Florida Gators credit their 1967 Orange Bowl win over the Georgia Yellow Jackets as having helped them win the game, a sentiment echoed by the Yellow Jackets head coach. Later that year, agreements were made with Stokely-Van Camp, Inc., to process, package, and distribute Gatorade, and the NFL entered into a licensing arrangement for its use in the league.
The rest is sports history.
The Florida Gators created the beverage and were the first to use it. Go Gators! =P

Gatorade after the Florida gators
The University of Florida invented Gatorade to properly hydrate the football team. They wanted an advantage over the teams that just drank water. They named it "Gatorade" because they are known as the Florida Gators.
Gatorade replenishes your water and also has sodium to give you what sweat takes out of you, Gatorade is only good when it is hard excersize for one an hour
You could write a letter to the owner of Gatorade asking them to sponsor you. Also, you could email the Gatorade company. Get a good video of your team playing volleyball, and that would help. Hope this helps!
i don't know how many but i know that the gators must be using Gatorade
