What is worst a tornado watch or warning?

"Worse" is not the word, let's say "more important": Tornado warning is more important. A tornado "watch" means weather conditions are such that there is a possibility a tornado could form. But there have been no tornadoes as of yet. A Tornado warning means A tornado has been spotted/touched down in your alert area. You should take cover if a tornado warning is issued for your area; go into a cellar, or the lowest, most inner part of your house where there are no windows (a downstairs or basement bathroom is ideal). Tornado watch? Merely continue to monitor the weather broadcasts.

Where should you go outside when a tornado occurs?

You should not even need to go outside during a tornado. Let's say you forgot something outside and a tornado is there. Should you go out? NO! Because it is very scary to go outside during a tornado. But you should gather your family together, and then go in a basement or closet. Try to keep safe.

According to weather experts what should you do if a tornado comes and you are in a car?

If the tornado is in a distance, try to get out of the path by driving perpendicular or diagonal to its path. Do not attempt to outrun it. If the tornado is approaching and there is any doubt about your ability to get out of the way, get out of the gar and take cover in a ditch or depression.

A tornado watch is a weather advisory that means that current weather conditions are favorable for tornadoes but no specific area is in imminent danger. Is a tornado warning more severe or a tornado watch?

They are both important but more severe would be a tornado warning. A watch means that conditions are favorable for the development of tornadoes meaning you should be watching the weather, prepare a place to go, and watch the skies, local media, and on what ever you monitor the weather with online. I use the NWS but some people use local media and others use it all. Also, make sure that you have a NOAA weather radio to alert you if something happens

How do you know your city is having a tornado?

Pay attention to advisories from the National Weather Service. If there is a tornado in or near you community, a tornado warning will be issued. These will come up on TV, and radio, and can also be found through the National Weather Service website (see link below). There are also smart phone apps that will alert you of tornadoes and other weather hazards. Since power outages often occur with tornadoes, you should keep a battery powered weather radio handy.
