Composed of carbon, hydrogen and oxygen, A-PET is non-toxic, 100% recyclable and environmentally friendly. If incinerated, A-PET combusts completely, creating only water and carbon dioxide. BIodegradable - they're simply small pieces of wood. They would decompose over time.
Paper needs warmth and moisture to decompose quickly. If there are added microbial creatures, as found in a compost heap, it will decompose even more quickly. Dry paper inside will remain intact for years. It may become brittle and fragile over time.
because it develops a plastic like view over time
The Earth's biosphere cycles materials over and over by the carbon cycle. The only new matter in the biosphere is the energy from the sun. The total amount of carbon on Earth remains the same, but it takes different forms. Every living thing contains carbon. As living things die and decompose, the carbon is recycled again and again.
Styrofoam can do many things to the enviroment. For one thing, it doesn't decompose until over 100 years! Also, it has many harmful chemicals that could seep into the ground.Actually, styrofoam contains one chemical: polystyrene, which is long chains of the styrene monomer. It doesn't 'seep into the ground' at all. However that is not to say it doesn't damage the environment. Obviously it is not good to leave polystyrene lying around but it does no more harm than a plastic bottle or coke can - an eyesore maybe, but it won't leak chemicals or poison anything.

this is not nessicarily true, look at plastic for example, that can sometimes take up to 10,000 years to decpompose/degrade down into the earth (on estimate).
It is biodegradable. All most anything that can be decompose is biodegradable. You are getting this from a 11 year old kid, unless you know the answer!
Biodegradable means it will decompose naturally over a period of time. With some materials it may take only a few weeks, others may take longer. A few things that are not biodegradable are materials such as some plastics, metals, and some petroleum based products.
Torn newspaper is biodegradable because it is made from organic materials like wood pulp that naturally decompose over time. It can be composted or recycled to break down into its basic components without harming the environment.
Biodegradable materials are substances can be consumed by microorganisms (can be decomposed). Food waste, paper, linens, and wood are all examples. On the other hand, most things like metal, ceramics, and plastic are not readily biodegradable.
Yes, they are environmentally friendly, paper products are biodegradable and decompose over time, so they don't last forever in a landfill like plastic party products do. This reduction of unnatural waste is much better for the enviornment and allows us a better future.
A benefit of a plastic garden shed over a wooden garden shed is that the plastic shed will not rot, as it is not biodegradable, therefore will not break down as quickly as a wooden garden shed would.
Chips as in Computerchips are made by various metals, silicone and plastic or ceramics. Buried in ground, the metal may dissolve mostly over many years. Gold filaments present wont decompose naturally, but they do not harm environment either. Plastic and ceramic parts can most likely be found after thousands of years depending on the conditions where they are buried. I would suppose we do not seriously expect computerchips to decompose in nature. They are ment for recycling and should be handed in to such facilities capable of dealing with them properly.
Polyester is considered non-biodegradable. Eventually it will break down, but like nylon and rayon, it can take up to 200 years to fully decompose.
Recycling plastic bottles has many advantages to it, which include:The oil which would normally be used to make plastic could be used for other purposes, such as appliances.Plastic is not biodegradable, which means that it does not decompose over time, meaning it will remain in our land fills forever. The factories that produce plastic emit harmful carbon dioxide which contributes to the greenhouse effect. The energy put into making plastic could be used for producing other products, conserving energy. All in all, plastic is nothing but harmful to the environment, and all though it may be useful and cheap, recycling plastic bottles will greatly benefit the environment and is the way to go.
Plastics are made up of chemical units together called polymer, which is an artificial substance, and it takes thousands of years to decompose them. They are non biodegradable and if burned, releases toxic gases in the atmosphere. Many new kind of viruses and diseases are caused as bacteria breeds over plastics. Thus,we should avoid plastic as far as possible
