∙ 15y agoOh yeAH they can cause damage to buildings and houses and cause garbage to pile up. ** Yes, not only do you have the chances of drowning, but there is no longer much fresh water to drink as it is all under water and the possibility of contamination is high. Also raw sewage can be mixed with the flood waters and disease contamination is also high. The longer an area stays flooded, the longer it is to restore these resources.
