CO2 makes up approximately 0.03% of Earth's atmosphere
The gas which makes up the greatest percentage of earth's atmosphere is nitrogen with 78.08%.
hydrogen
What gas makes up the majority of the Earth's atmosphere
Nitrogen makes up 78% of the earths atmosphere Oxygen makes up 21% of the earths atmosphere
Carbon dioxide (CO2) is still building up in the atmosphere because we are still burning fossil fuels (coal, oil and natural gas) which emits CO2, and we are still cutting down trees which then cannot remove CO2 from the atmosphere. The natural carbon cycle is unable to remove all the extra CO2 (it actually manages to remove almost 60% of it), so the carbon is building up in the atmosphere and causing global warming.
CO2 makes up approximately 0.03% of Earth's atmosphere
The highest percentage in the Earth's atmosphere is nitrogen, at 78%. Then oxygen(21%) and CO2, 0.9%.
CO2
Nitrogen makes up about 80% of the Earth's atmosphere.
The gas which makes up the greatest percentage of earth's atmosphere is nitrogen with 78.08%.
hydrogen
Too much CO2 makes the Earth warm up. On Venus the atmosphere is 93% CO2 and the temperature is 400-500 degrees.
The atmosphere of Titan is mostly nitrogen with a small percentage of methane and hydrogen.
Nitrogen makes up roughly 80% of Earth's atmosphere (Oxygen makes up most of the remainder).
Up to a certain percentage in the atmosphere, CO2 helps keep plants and animals, including humans, from freezing solid. Up to a point, which has already been reached, increasing CO2 levels cause no further significant temperature rise. By the way, a little-known fact is that the gas making up even a higher percentage of our atmosphere is water vapor.
My atmosphere is the same as your atmosphere since we all live on the same planet. Oxygen makes up about 19.5% of the atmosphere.
Nitrogen Gas makes up about 80% of Earths atmosphere with Oxygen making up most of the rest (20%).
