Yes. In some cases the winds of a hurricane can destroy a house. In other cases houses can be destroyed by ocean waves, storm surge, inland flooding, ad landslides caused by rain.
Yes, a category 1 hurricane can break windows with its strong winds and flying debris.
Yes, a hurricane can potentially break a sliding glass door due to the high winds and flying debris associated with the storm. It is important to take precautions, such as boarding up windows and securing doors, to minimize damage during a hurricane.
During a hurricane, it is best to secure the trampoline by taking it down and storing it in a safe place to prevent it from causing damage or becoming a hazard. Flying debris in high winds can turn the trampoline into a dangerous projectile.
So long as the house is not directly impacted by storm surge, it will remain standing unless it is very poorly constructed. Sustained winds in a category 2 hurricane are in the range of 96-110 mph. The walls of most houses will remain standing in winds up to about 150 mph. Storm surge is usually not very severe in a category 2 hurricane, but waterfront properties could still be in danger. The water of the storm surge carries much more force than the wind.
I believe this advice was originally given as for tornadoes. However, in both cases it is extremely inaccurate. Your house is not going to explode from a massive pressure change if you seal all windows and then one were to break. Instead, damage can be prevented by closing all windows since the windows should hold against lower strength hurricanes/tornadoes. If it's a strong tornado/hurricane, you shouldn't be inside your house. If you can't be away or in a basement, a bathroom with no windows in the center of the house is your best bet.
it could break it down or erode it!
More than 100 houses burned down during Hurricane Sandy in the Breezy Point neighborhood of Queens.
no because if their is a hurricane all the water would push your house and your house would break down and you would have no where to live and all your stuff would flow away and your whole block would be flooded and that why you should not build a house near beaches
its cause high preusse and it die and have lot of damage and their powerful wind break all towers and house and buildings

yes. a hurricane is very strong.
No. That would have no effect on a hurricane. For one thing, you cannot "break" the eye of a hurricane; it is not a solid object, and the winds of the eye wall are already quite turbulent. Second, the power of a jet's thrust is tiny compared to that of a hurricane. The speed in the jet's thrus may exceed the hurricane's windspeed over a short distance, but a hurricane is massive.
