If sufficiently concentrated, yes. The amount of chlorine in drinking water, however, is not enough to harm your lawn. Even swimming pool water is usually not chlorinated enough to kill grass though normal splashing or draining.
The word equation for chlorine water is: chlorine + water ➡️ hydrochloric acid + oxygen
No, it is not safe to drink water treated with chlorine. Chlorine is added to water as a disinfectant, but drinking water with high levels of chlorine can be harmful to your health. It is important to allow chlorine to dissipate from water before consuming it.
I changed from using chlorine to bromine in my hot tub. As usual, I watered my grass with the old spa water when I cleaned and changed it. Chlorinated water never hurt the grass. However, the bromine water left me with brown and apparently dead grass and a withered tree. It took about a year for it to come back but it did. I found another less vulnerable place to discharge the spa the next few times. All seemed well. Now I am seeing a large withering tree further out in the yard. I am thinking that the salts have leached down to the roots and are causing the problem. I will not discharge the bromine water into my yard any more. I will use the sanitary sewer where I know the water will be properly treated without affecting the environment. I hope my tree recovers and the remaining salts disperse soon.
Chlorine gas reacts with water to give hypochlorous acid and hydrochloric acid
Chlorine is toxic if ingested. This applies to ducks as well as humans. Another answer: If you are talking about regular chlorinated water that comes out of the faucet (tap water)...then no. You don't need to save rainwater for them or buy spring water or anything like that. They do just fine on tap water.
Grass or electric are your best bet
It depends on the amount of chlorine in the water.
Yes. It could kill them.
No nothing to worry about I have trees at the down hill side of pool and they cop heaps of chlorine water and are thriving.
Yes, chlorine bleach is a powerful disinfectant that can kill zoysia grass if applied directly to the grass in sufficient quantities. It is important to avoid using chlorine bleach on grass or plants as it can harm or kill them.
There isn't a BEST but I would recommend Squirtle because Grass doesn't EXTREMELY hurt it and well... Fire + Water = Water Grass + Fire = Fire BUT.... Water + Grass = 50/50 Grass Water It's all about who comes on top and who looks better :D
Yes, chlorine can kill grass if it is applied in high concentrations or if it comes in direct contact with the grass for an extended period of time. It is important to follow proper dilution ratios and application guidelines to avoid damaging the grass when using chlorine-based products.
Chlorinated water can harm plants if used for watering, as chlorine can be toxic to plants in high concentrations. It is best to let the water sit for 24 hours to allow the chlorine to dissipate before using it to water plants.
yes. that is why you add the chemicals to the water. its a simple case of dilution. if the dog, human, consumes or even in some cases, inhale some of the chlorinated mixture could be very toxic. anything can killl you, from cheeseburgers to chlorine
Draining a pool onto the grass could potentially harm the grass if the pool water contains high levels of chlorine or other chemicals. It's better to drain the water into a suitable drainage system or have it hauled away to avoid damaging the grass.
NO you should never have chlorine in with your guppy it could hurt the fish
It melts you from the inside out
