Cotton would probably not thrive in the state of Ohio. Cotton does best in temperate climates such as in the southern half of the United States.
Cotton grows best in hot weather with plenty of sunshine. It requires a long frost-free growing season with temperatures consistently above 60°F (15°C) for optimal growth and development.
I think you could grow cotton in far southern Indiana- it isn't that far from or different climate-wise than the Mo bootheel. Probably the lack of gins, etc., would make it impractical. Some cotton moved up from N. TX to far southern KS a while back and I believe has been fairly successful.
Plants can grow in anything that will easily absorb water and nutrients, and not rot. They can grow in sponge, steel wool, cotton wool, nylon wool, a bucket of small pebbles, etc. These media are used in hydroponics.

The Southern Colonies in the US had primarily fertile soil that was suitable for growing cash crops like tobacco, rice, and indigo. The soil was rich in nutrients and well-suited for large-scale agricultural production, which was a key driver of the region's economy.
Yes
yes you can grow coffee beans in Ohio
Yes, cotton grows in the US. remember when people had slaves, they grew cotton in the south. we can probably still grow cotton, but slaves don't grow it anymore, farmers do.
it takes 1-2 months to grow into a cotton bud
The staes that grow the most cotton are 5.
In the soil !!!! But beans grow better in cotton
Cotton farms.
Cotton comes from cotton plants that grow from germinated cotton seeds.
no you need cotton seeds. it will not grow a tree only a small bush in a field
Cotton helps beans grow when you get the cotton let it sit for a couple of days. Then over some time the beans will start to grow little roots, and then you can plant them, but don't let them sit in the cotton for too long otherwise the beans will grow black and smell weird .
Yeah cotton farms in the south.
The lack of cotton previously sent to the North, helped the economy of Ohio. The state was a large producer of wool. The lack of cotton caused clothing, blankets and army uniforms to be made of Ohio wool.
