Well... maybe. One train does create a lot more air pollution than one car (unless it's an electric train running on nuclear or hydro or wind or solar power). However, one train can move thousands of passengers, which would need probably thousands of cars to move. So cars create much more pollution than trains per passenger.

Hundreds, not thousands, but otherwise the statement is true. Also, a train requires less power, hence less fuel, to move each ton each mile than the road equivalent at the same speed.
Trains emit carbon dioxide into the environment. The benefit of traveling by trains rather than airplanes, is that trains emit 90 percent less CO2 than airplanes.
i don't know but i think cars cause more pollution
No, I think cars produce more pollution because of the gas being used.
Because there are alot of people in Beijing and Tokyo and more people means more cars so the more cars there are, the worse the air pollution gets :)
factories
CO2
i don't know but i think cars cause more pollution
YES!
Ameriacan cars have more pollution are cars are not as good as other car in japan and china to.
trains only go to certain places where as tankers cars ect... go to anywhere you drive them to. also if the acid was to leak on a train if would create more damage and it would cost more to repay for and also trains are very wobbly so it is more likely to spill
Planes create more polution per vehicle but there are so many more cars that cars far outpace planes in pollution. The total number of hours of operation for cars also is far greater than for airplanes.
No, I think cars produce more pollution because of the gas being used.
A car's greatest pollution creating point is during construction. The second greatest portion of a car's pollution comes from the destruction of the car. Hybrid cars are built and will be destroyed at some point. Furthermore they create pollution when they move, the about the same pollution as a conventional car. They do save about 10% in fuel economy, but create more pollution during the construction due to the extra electronics and batteries. The premature destruction of a conventional car to allow room for the purchase of a hybrid could mean that the individual increased the amount of pollution to purchase the car.
While trains give off more emissions than cars, they are actually more environmentally friendly than cars. This is because the train can carry very large groups of people, lowering the amount of vehicles are on the road.
cars the amount of cars on the road and left running causes more pollution then a jumbo jet
Because there are alot of people in Beijing and Tokyo and more people means more cars so the more cars there are, the worse the air pollution gets :)
Airplanes use air routes to get to their destinations, but if there were no airplanes, people should have traveled with cars and trains more. if they traveled with cars and trains we had to make roads and rail ways which results in cutting trees and making the environment less beautiful to make them. It would also take a lot longer to get to your destination using these ways of transportation so then you also need more fuel and energy which results in more air pollution.
cars, cars and more cars, factories, fossil fuels, and just plain ordinary folks, yes, we all contribute to air pollution!!!!!!!!
