Liquefied Petroleum Gas (LPG) is a clean-burning portable fuel and is now mainly produced by natural gas production and oil refining.

The World Health Organization (WHO) also recognizes LPG as a clean kitchen solution for more than half of the 2.8 billion people who still need access to clean technology and fuels for cooking. Clean fuel is well suited to tackling the Household Air Pollution (PAH) challenge.

The use of LPG can protect forests from being exploited for the production and use of charcoal and firewood (sold mainly in urban and peri-urban markets), thus helping to preserve the environment and capture CO2 Inefficient solid fuel stoves only release very small amounts of short-lived climate pollutants (e.g. soot and methane) contribute to providing up to 30% of the air-conditioning solutions required by 2030.

How can deforestation contribute to climate change?

Deforestation can contribute to climate change by reducing the number of trees that absorb carbon dioxide from the atmosphere. This leads to an increase in greenhouse gases, which trap heat in the atmosphere and contribute to global warming. Additionally, deforestation can disrupt local weather patterns and reduce biodiversity, further impacting the climate.

Is a negative impact of the use of fossil fuels for energy apex?

Yes, a negative impact of the use of fossil fuels for energy is the release of greenhouse gases that contribute to climate change, pollution of the environment, and the depletion of finite resources.

How does deforestation contribute to climate change?

Deforestation contributes to climate change by releasing stored carbon dioxide into the atmosphere, reducing the Earth's ability to absorb greenhouse gases, and disrupting the water cycle.

How do the effects of deforestation contribute to climate change?

Deforestation contributes to climate change by reducing the number of trees that can absorb carbon dioxide from the atmosphere. This leads to an increase in greenhouse gases, which trap heat in the atmosphere and contribute to global warming. Additionally, deforestation can disrupt local weather patterns and lead to changes in precipitation levels, further impacting the climate.

Why do climate scientists believe climate change is real and is of concern?

Climate scientists believe climate change is real and is of concern because they understand the science involved and the factors that contribute to the climate, what controls it, and what is happening that makes the climate change. They also see and understand how the climate is changing and why it is happening.

Does nuclear or coal energy mostly contribute to the climate change?

Coal energy releases greenhouse gases when burnt, causing global warming. Nuclear power has very little effect on climate change.

What is your PhD focus and how does it contribute to the advancement of your field of study?

My PhD focus is on studying the impact of climate change on marine ecosystems. By understanding how climate change affects marine life, I aim to contribute to the advancement of marine science by providing insights that can help inform conservation efforts and sustainable management practices.

What are the environmental impacts of propane stove emissions?

Propane stove emissions contribute to air pollution and greenhouse gas emissions, which can harm human health and contribute to climate change.

How does ecosystems relate to climate change?

Ecosystems influence climate change through processes like carbon sequestration and the water cycle. Climate change, conversely, can disrupt ecosystems by altering temperature, precipitation patterns, and habitat availability. A healthy ecosystem can help mitigate the impacts of climate change through resilience and adaptation strategies.

What type of energy do not contribute to climate change?

Renewable energy (solar, wind, water, hydro, tidal and wave, geothermal, ocean thermal, biomass and biofuel) does not contribute carbon dioxide (CO2) emissions to the atmosphere, unlike fossil fuels (coal, oil and natural gas).
