Yes, Arkansas does have pollution. In western Arkansas the trees and other vegetation grow very fast and hide a great deal of the environmental pollution. Many houses and other buildings are abandoned and never torn down or demolished which allows them to be overgrown by vegetation, but are an ugly sight until they are hidden. People continue to dump many things in the lovely rivers. Though the paper plants swear their emissions are controlled and harmless, anybody who lives near them can attest to the air pollution. Pig farms and chicken farms contribute to the pollution and have a difficult time controlling that pollution. I have noticed the smog is increasing in the Little Rock area, but it isn't as bad as in many US cities. Despite the pollution, Arkansas remains a beautiful state and a good place to live.
