Rain water that falls from the sky should not have oil in it, unless the sky is polluted. However, the rain water that lands in a barrel, or some other container, could have oil in it, because the ground is contaminated with oil, or the barrel (container) has oil in it. Most rain water that falls from the sky is clean, but, when it lands, it can get polluted with oil. Acid raid is another problem with rain water, which occurs again because the sky overhead is polluted.

How do you prepare rainwater to distilled water?

To prepare rainwater to distilled water, you can collect rainwater and then distill it using a distillation apparatus. This involves heating the rainwater to create steam, which is then condensed back into water, leaving impurities behind. The distilled water collected will be free of contaminants present in the original rainwater.

Which are the two types of rainwater harvesting?

There are two types or rainwater haversting. Rooftop rainwater harvesting and drain harvesting. In rooftop rainwater harvesting, we use the water collected on rooftops instead of letting it go down the drain. We can also use water collected in dugout ponds, underground vessels etc. Drain harvesting involves letting water collected in roadside drains go straight to the ground. But this water has to be treated before use as it may contain bird faeces, germs and other pollutants.
