The thinning of the ozone layer that is referred to as the ozone hole, only occurs during the winter months above each pole. This means that even if UV-B did help melt ice, the issue would be nullified by a lack of sunlight during these periods. The hole repairs itself as soon as the sun is restored.
Hopefully, yes, eventually, if enough people stop driving cars. Carbon foot prints kill the planet.
1 x 1600cc car rev.3000 rpm = 4.8 cubic meter
1 car per hour = 288 cubic meters
There are an estimated 30,000,000,000,000 or more cars on the roads.
Do the math.
Note:
Everyone should have an understanding how global warming works and why we need to prevent more damage. It will require all of us of the world working together to make the lifestyle changes necessary to try to slow it down.
this is happening as you are asking the question

Another Answer:
The Arctic fringes have indeed shown some melting since we began to be able to measure such issues in 1979. The data is far too incomplete to make honest assumptions as to why this is happening, just as the data as to why the Antarctic is still gaining ice is too incomplete to disprove that global warming exists.
In terms of actual melting, only the Arctic is doing so currently.
A few of the ice caps will most likely melt but it matters on opinion myself doesn't think all of the polar ice caps will melt... just a few.
Yes, in the Arctic the polar ice cap is melting, losing about 3% ice every year. In the summer of 2007, for the first time in recorded history, the North-West Passage was open for shipping.
yes, and it would make a MELTDOWN. which is happening, even now.
if the polar caps melt there will be a lot of more water in the earth
yes.Global warming is melting the polar caps.
No, the melting of the polar ice caps is the result of global warming.
Yes, a little, but most UV rays are reflected from snow and ice. Fresh snow has an albedo (reflectivity) of almost 100%. Polar ice caps are melted more by the warming atmosphere of the earth.
Global Warming. Due to global warming, ice in the polar region is melting
Polar bears do not cause global warming.
yes
The Arctic sea ice, where they live during the winter, is melting earlier every year.
The polar areas
Global Warming. Due to global warming, ice in the polar region is melting
Polar bears are not a cause of global warming. They are being affected by climate change in that their habitat is decreasing in size (as the sea ice is melting).
Polar bears do not cause global warming.
reduce global warming. because of the heat caused by global warming the polar regions are melting.
yes, because of global warming.
global warming, melting of sea ice...
Global warming continues to occur, as evidenced by the fact our polar ice caps are melting, and of course by global temperature records.
Will they survive global warming and melting of sea ice?
Global Warming affects the polar regions, melting the ice and snow.
Global warming is melting the polar ice caps and they are slowly disappearing.
because of global warming Global warming is a scientific theory. Some Polar Bears are in decline due to climate change effects, the melting of icebergs which depletes their habitat, while others are not showing any indications of change.
global warming has caused the polar ice caps to melt, this has caused sea level to rise
