Air moves heat primarily through convection. It picks it up from a place where it is hot and carries it to cooler places. It also moves "cold" that way, too. It doesn't do it through conduction or radiation, the other two methods of transferring heat.

How is heat redistributed from the equator to the poles?

Energy is not distributed from the Equator. All forms of energy that come to Earth are distributed as equally as possible, but because of the Earth's shape, the Equator gets more.

What creates rain?

The moisture from the Earth evaporates into the clouds. Then the moisture gets heavier and condenses into rain. When it gets heavier, it falls from the clouds down to Earth. Then, the sun and heat re-evaporates the moisture left, thus restarting the cycle. Just Google "the rain cycle."

How does Earth's rotation influence weather?

The rotation and tilt of the earth are determinants for how much sun or heat reaches different portions of the earth every day and year around. During the summer season in the northern hemisphere they get more sunlight year around. The southern hemisphere experiences the opposite. The rotation is also responsible for diurnal, or night ad day changes, effecting on and off shore flow of heat and moisture.
