To reduce global warming we have to stop burning fossil fuels (change to renewable energy) and stop cutting down trees (plant new forests everywhere).

At at home we can do many things to help, and if millions of people round the world are doing the same, they will make a real difference.

  1. Make sure everyone turns appliances off at the wall. Leaving them on standby wastes about 10% of your energy, which mostly comes from burning fossil fuels.
  2. Don't leave all the lights on all over the house. Turn them off. An empty room doesn't need light.
  3. Plan your travel so you use the car as little as possible. Can you walk, cycle, run instead? What about buses, trams and trains. These are all much better than burning fossil fuel to move one or two people and a heavy car.
  4. Use microwave ovens. They use less energy than a stove.
  5. Don't use so much heating and cooling inside. This all uses fossil fuel energy which adds greenhouse gases to the atmosphere. If you're cold, put on more clothes. If you're hot, put on a t-shirt. You know what to do.
  6. Set up a bin somewhere in your home for everyone to see. label it "plastic" plastic is one of the most used recyclable items in many households.
  7. Don't leave the water in the shower running down the drain while you wait for it to warm up. instead place a watering can under your water and fill it up to water your plants
  8. Don't leave your car running for more time than necessary.
  9. Plant plants or even your own garden and keep it thriving.
  10. Use 'reusable' bags

These things will help reduce global warming.

Global Warming has been the consequence of indiscriminate exploitation and ignorance on the part of human beings. There isn't a short term plan to reduce global warming, but concerted efforts and ecofriendly practices can, to some extent minimize the effect. Adopting green alternatives, cutting off the unnecessary sources of energy consumption, like, switching off the TV and light bulbs etc. while not in use and using public transport.

There is no such thing as "a global warming" global warming only happens to earth because human and our unruly decrease in the earths resources. HUMANS cause global warming.

Does nuclear waste contribute to global warming?

No

Why does global warming decrease temperatures?

True global warming does not decrease temperatures. So, either the model for global warming's effects is hokus-pokus, or global warming as presently claimed, does not exist. Some global warming followers will have you believe that global warming makes the weather "act crazy". If true, then it is not really global warming, is it.

Does humidity contribute to global warming?

Humidity itself does not directly contribute to global warming, but it can impact the greenhouse effect by affecting cloud formation. Higher humidity levels can lead to more cloud cover, which can trap heat in the atmosphere and contribute to global warming.

What are facts about hydroelectricity?

Hydroelectricity does not contribute to global warming.

How do rice paddies contribute to global warming?

yes

Does the decrease of fossil fuels decrease global warming?

Yes, decreasing the use of fossil fuels can help reduce global warming. Fossil fuels release greenhouse gases like carbon dioxide when burned, which trap heat in the Earth's atmosphere and contribute to climate change. Transitioning to cleaner sources of energy, such as renewable energy, can help mitigate the impacts of global warming.

Yes, volcanoes can contribute to global warming by releasing greenhouse gases and aerosols into the atmosphere.

How do solar panels contribute to global warming?

Solar panels do not contribute to global warming. In fact, they help reduce greenhouse gas emissions by generating clean energy from the sun.
