We could change the greenhouse effect in the future by planting billions of fast-growing trees. This would remove carbon dioxide from the atmosphere, and the enhanced greenhouse effect that we have now would slow down.

Where in space does the greenhouse effect occur?

The greenhouse effect does not occur in space, it occurs within the Earth's atmosphere. Without the greenhouse effect, most living things would freeze to death.

How do living things cause environmental change?

The manure of living things are their greatest contribution to environmental change, through the generations of CO2, but they also exhale and expel CO2 gasses. CO2, although essential for plants, becomes and problem in large amounts, leading to the exaggeration of the greenhouse effect.

Which gas is increasing in the atmosphere and intensifying the greenhouse effect?

Carbon dioxide is doing both these things.

What benefits does greenhouse effect have?

it creates a magical world where bears and fishes can get along and eat there cheese wheels in peace.

How do global warming greenhouse gases greenhouse effect and ozone layer affect weather?

All the things are related to each other. It is because all these affect the temperature and weather.

How can the greenhouse effect be controlled?

It can't, there is little we can do for a while now. we just need to stop making things worse.

Does the greenhouse effect make mercury very hot?

There are no greenhouse gases on Mercury. Just a very thin atmosphere of helium and hydrogen. So it has no greenhouse effect. Its surface ranges in temperature from -270°F to 800°F (-168°C to 427°C).

How does nonliving things affect an ecosystem?

The normal greenhouse effect keeps the earth and its living organisms warm enough for life. The enhanced (or accelerated) greenhouse effect, which is causing global warming, is killing some species of animals, insects, birds and fish from additional heat, change of habitat, acidification of the oceans, and other reasons.

How has the greenhouse effect led to global warming?

The natural greenhouse effect has kept the earth warm for millions of years. When we started burning fossil fuel and cutting down the forests much more greenhouse gas went into the atmosphere. This is causing the enhanced greenhouse effect when all the extra gas warms up and holds in the heat. This has led to global warming.Excessive use of fossil fuels has increased the levels of greenhouse gases like CO2 and CH4 which retain the heat radiated by the sun, consequently increasing the temperature of the earth's atmosphere.A: The greenhouse effect is the main cause of global warming. The Earth's atmosphere has the job of reflecting ultraviolet radiation and trapping infrared heat in the atmosphere, preventing the Earth from getting too cold. In the Greenhouse Effect extra levels of gases such as methane and carbon dioxide can gradually heat up the Earth more than needed, or in other words, causing global warming.A:Strictly speaking, the greenhouse effect does not cause global warming. The greenhouse effect is a natural process that keeps the earth warm. Therefore the greenhouse effect does not cause global warming. However the impact of greenhouse effect is enhancedby human activities (deforestation, fossil fuel combustion etc). This enhanced greenhouse effect is what causes global warming as these processes increase the levels of greenhouse gases in the atmosphere! Thus the increase in concentration of greenhouse gases is the problem.More and more fuels are burned as industry develops and the forests( carbon dioxide sponges ) are being cut down, resulting in less things to absorb carbon dioxide. Carbon dioxide is a greenhouse gas, (it is also one of the many carbon's compounds). Anyway, carbon dioxide gets stored up in the atmosphere as the greenhouse effect increases.

Does technology improve our lives in the future?

technology will change our lives a lot in the future. Technology will change our lives in the future because the new technologies coming out, we can expect more and more technologies to come, and this will change our ways of doing things, and will most likely change our lives in the future.

Is the greenhouse effect necessarily bad?

We need some greenhouse effect (good) but not too much (bad). The natural greenhouse effect keeps the earth warm. Otherwise, we would freeze, the warmth of the day would disappear in the night. The carbon and water cycles keep enough carbon dioxide and water vapor in the atmosphere to support this. The accelerated greenhouse effect (which is happening now from man's deforestation and burning of fossil fuel) is the bad effect, causing global warming.

Do raising live stock has an effect on greenhouse gases?

i think that it can, because cows produce the most methain and that does contribute to the greenhouse gases. but other things can make green house gases. like humans, dogs, cats, and machines. :)
