This, is a very easy question to answer. The answer below isn't quite correct, there are several things you can do, just simple steps, to reduce the effects of Global Warming, for instance, donating towards charities in aid of Global Warming, charities aiming to plant more trees to reduce carbon emissions, to reduce electricity in other facilities, even to hand out flyers, making a point of it. You can also do things yourself, simple things, such as, not leaving a light on when not needed, turning off the computer when done with it, turning things off at the switch while not used. And, possibly the best thing you can do, is to use your bike, where you can, or, take the train or bus, where, more people in one transport, means, less transport, less emissions. You can't reduce global warming at all. And if you made any serious effort to do so, it will destroy the world's economy. But, fortunately, you don't have take such drastic steps. Global warming, if it's happening at all, is not caused by mankind. And even if it is happening, and even if it is caused by mankind, it is, for the most part, a good thing.
You can move to renewable energy.
Solar panels are becoming better and cheaper every year. The produce clean renewable energy that is free. Solar towers heated by heliostats (arrays of mirrors) can store molten salt and produce electricity 24 hours a day.
Wind towers are a similar renewable choice, especially for places without many hours of sunlight.
Continuing with fossil fuels (coal, oil and natural gas) for energy is causing enormous air pollution problems in China, and that country is stopping coal imports in 2015. Global warming and climate change is putting great pressure on insurance companies around the world, threatening the economies of many countries.
Renewable energy employs many people of all technical abilities, replacing any jobs lost in the fossil fuel industry.

There is no evidence that global warming is affecting meerkats yet. However the warming is gradually affecting the food chains and habitats of many animals. If this happens, the animals have to migrate, adapt or die.
Global warming is affecting the distribution and location of water, through reduced, or extra rainfall. Other natural resources, like minerals, etc, are not being affected.
Global warming occurs when the greenhouse gases in the atmosphere capture the sun's heat reflected off the earth. More and more carbon dioxide retains more and more heat. This is increasing the temperature of the world.
