They have the same effect - warming the air, but the actions are not the same. Glass in a greenhouse acts as an insulated barrier that prevents loss of the heated air inside.

Greenhouse gases catch and absorb the heat radiating out from the earth. The greenhouse gases get warm, and they then warm the other gases in the atmosphere as well as warming the earth again.

A greenhouse lets the sun's heat in but keeps most of it inside the glass, so the greenhouse warms up inside. In the same way the greenhouse gases in the earth's atmosphere trap a lot of the sun's heat and keep it from radiating into space. Hope that answers your question!

The glass of a greenhouse traps light and heat in the greenhouse. Carbon dioxide and other gases in Earth's atmosphere trap infrared radiation that's radiated from Earth, causing the Earth's atmosphere to grow warmer.

How are gases in the atmosphere such as carbon dioxide like the glass windows of a green house?

They are not exactly like the glass in a greenhouse, but they have the same effect. Greenhouse gases hold the heat in the atmosphere without letting it escape into space.

Why is green house effect called green house effect?

Because the "greenhouse gases" act similarly to a greenhouse. The heat goes through the gases (glass panes) and is stored on Earth (greenhouse) and is unable to exit back into the atmosphere (sky). Google "greenhouse effect" and go look at the images, the pictures on the first page will help you to understand my analogy.

What are the artificial green house gases?

CFCs (chlorofluorocarbons) are man-made gases that are also greenhouse gases.

Why do greenhouse gases harm ozone?

Ozone itself is a green house gas. There would be no way that green house gases would harm it.

Green house gases are responsible for a phenomenon called?

The Greenhouse Effect.

What are the solution for prevention of green house affect?

Greenhouse effect is due to greenhouse gases. We have to stop their emission.

How do Cows produce green house gasses?

Cows produce greenhouse gases by farting, the methane in th farts causes greenhouse gases

What is absorbed by green house gases?

Greenhouse gases absorb Infrared heat rising from the surface of the earth.

What is a green house made from?

glass of course its the greenhouse it protects the environment

The effect is the process by which gases in the atmosphere trap heat?

The greenhouse effect

What does a green house look like?

Green. Unless you mean 'a greenhouse' in which case it is mostly glass.
