Hi,
Iodine can be easily removed from the skin using 'sodium Thiosulfate' (found in most school/ uni labs specifically for this purpose). Simply mix a teaspoon or so with 1/2 a cup of water and rub it on the stain.
If you don't have access to a lab, it can be bought at most pharmacies. However, you will have to ask the assistant as it will be kept behind the counter.
If you can't find any sodium thiosulfate; lemon juice or rubbing alcohol (isopropyl alcohol) and a lot of scrubbing should do the trick.

The solvent of tincture of iodine is typically ethanol, which helps dissolve the iodine and make it easier to apply to the skin. Ethanol also helps the iodine evaporate quickly, leaving behind a thin layer that can penetrate the skin.
Povidone-iodine is a stable chemical complex of polyvinylpyrrolidone and iodine, used as an antiseptic. Tincture iodine is a solution of iodine in alcohol, commonly used to disinfect skin before surgeries. Tincture iodine is more potent but can irritate the skin, while povidone-iodine is less irritating and commonly used in clinical settings.

Nonstaining iodine is a type of iodine solution that does not contain iodine in a free form that can bind to skin proteins, which is why it does not stain the skin. This means that it is less likely to leave a visible mark on the skin compared to traditional iodine solutions.

Selfless tanning???? Do you mean sunless tanning? Sunless tanning is simply a dye or iodine that stains the skin. All you need to do is to exfoliate(remove dead skin cells) to get rid of it. However, it may take several days of scrubbing your skin to remove it completely.
Mercuroclear and iodine are both used as topical antiseptics. Mercuroclear is also used to treat minor skin itching and has the advantage of being clear and therefore not staining the skin as iodine can.
