If the hydrogen peroxide is 3%, keep rinsing every so often with saline solution (not regular water as it actually DRIES your eye) to keep your eye wet- which probably isn't a problem anyhow because your eye is GUSHING right now. I was told that the multi-purpose solution is not as good for rinsing as saline solution. Put up with pain and sensitivity to light, and endure it for the whole day. It hurts IN SPURTS--every 15 seconds you will have another rough period of pain.

The next day you will wonder why you sweat it out the day before. You will be almost 100% back to normal. Visine the next day will clear up the leftover pink. You will be fine. I'm not an MD, but this was my experience and it happened exactly this way as my ophthalmologist had explained it to me when my eye was ON FIRE WITH SHARP NEEDLES OF PAIN, AND SENSITIVITY TO LIGHT WAS ALMOST INTOLERABLE. Oh, one more thing. You will be very annoying to others that day. Smile and get through it.
