The glacier is melting on the mountain and underneath it is like a river which eroding a side of the mountain when the glacier melts enough, it will slide down the mountain and into the lake that the river underneath the glacier had created.
Hope this helps :)
In cross-section: A 'U' shaped valley is formed from glacial erosion. A 'V' shaped valley is formed by river erosion.
Moraines are not caused by erosion, but rather by the deposition of sediment and rocks carried and deposited by a glacier as it moves and melts. Erosion occurs as the glacier carries material away from its original location.
Glacier erosion is when the ground below the glacier is removed. Glacial deposition is when the debris (eroded ground) is left behind when a glacier melts and the face retreats.
Terminal moraines are not formed due to erosion but rather deposition. They are ridges of glacial till that mark the farthest advance of a glacier and are deposited as the glacier retreats. Erosion by the glacier does contribute to the material found in terminal moraines, but the feature itself is primarily a result of deposition.
Plucking erosion is a glacial process where meltwater penetrates cracks in a glacier and freezes, causing the ice to expand and pull rock fragments from the bedrock beneath the glacier. This plucking action allows the glacier to transport the rock debris as it flows, contributing to the erosion and shaping of the landscape.
glacier erosion
Erosion at Glacier bay is caused by the chunks of ice on the glacier breaking apart and falling into the water

Glacial erosion requires movement. Thus, glacial erosion begins as soon as the glacier starts moving.
cause erosion and involveprocesses of "flow"
A moraine is a landform created by glacial deposition, not erosion. As a glacier moves, it picks up rocks and debris which are deposited as the glacier retreats, forming moraines.
