A sling psychrometer (or hygrometer) uses the difference in readings between a wet bulb thermometer and another with a dry bulb to measure the relative humidity.
The bulb that is wet will cool by evaporation to the "dew point", which is the temperature at which the current humidity would be the maximum possible. Comparing that to the dry bulb (the general air temperature) on a comparative chart will yield the approximate relative humidity.
there are 2 thermometers and one base a wet cloth on it the other has none and you spin them around then divide the answers of both of them and get your end answer.

Because u have to put it in water then spin it around
it was used for measuring the water vapor content or relative humidity of the atmostphere
A psychrometer (also called a sling hygrometer) is used to measure humidity.
psychrometer
humidity is moisture in the air and is measured with a hygrometer
Humidity can be directly measured by forced condensation either by pressurized or reduce the temperature and measure the water content directly. Alternative to direct measurement, humidity can be measure using air electro-conductivity since presence of water would increase the conductivity so it could interpret the conductivity to water content.
the air has a high relative humidity
a psychrometer or two thermometers
Relative humidity
psychrometer
A psychrometer is an instrument commonly used to measure the relative humidity.
Because u have to put it in water then spin it around
Like in a Hygrometer to measure humidity you use percentage (%)
No. A psychrometer measures relative humidity.
Humidity
The purpose of the psychrometer is to estimate Relative Humidity of Air. It does it by getting the dry and wet bulb temperatures. Then Relative Humidity is read on a chart.
