I'm guessing you are acking Atomic Radius. The atomic radius decreases and you go left to right because the shielding effect from the lower electrons stays almost constent while the elements gain more protons adding to the effective nuclear charge pulling the electrons closer to the nucleus.

It is in the same direction of reading: left (9) lower, right (10) higher

What occurs as you move from the left to the right on the periodic table?

they increase by one going from left to right totally a guess

As you move from the left to right, the atomic number increases. Also, the electronegativity increases.

How does the atomic number change as you move left or right of the periodic table?

left to right - increases (by 1s)right to left - decreases (by 1s)top to bottom - increases (big steps)bottom to top - decreases (big steps)

How does the atomic number change across a column of the periodic table?

Columns are vertical, so you are referencing a group of elements. The atomic number increases as you descend from top to bottom. Rows are horizontal, which references the periods. The atomic number increases as you go from right to left.

decreases

How do atomic numbers and atomic masses increase in the periodic table?

The atomic number and atomic masses increase as you move from left to right.

How does the atomic radius change from the left to the right horizontal row in the periodic table?

from left to right the atomic radius decreases as the electrons that get added are added in the same shell as they are in the same period. the shielding effect remains constant but the proton number increases which inturn increases the effective nuclear pull on the electrons bringing the electrons closer to the nuclei hence decreasing the radius of the atom
