It doesn't. Obsidian is a glassy volcanic rock formed by the extremely rapid 'freezing' of magma, so does not have time for the migration of ions in the magma to form minerals. Marble is formed by the metamorphism of limestones (generally deposited in shallow marine environments) and is made up largely of the calcium carbonate mineral calcite (CaCO3), like limestone, but with a different crystallography and texture. Therefore, they are two very different rock types not associated with each other and have different petrogeneses.

Granite does not become obsidian. Obsidian is formed due to volcanic eruption when the rate of lava cooling is extremely fast.
