Which is a very slow type of erosion that moves rocks and soil is it a glacier a creep a landslide or weathering?

A creep is a slow type of erosion that moves rocks and soil gradually downhill over time. Glaciers and landslides are more rapid forms of erosion, while weathering refers to the breakdown of rocks and soils by various processes.

How is glacier a source of both weathering and erosion?

Glaciers move (very slowly) therefore functioning as a source of erosion. They are also a source of weathering "in situ" due to their freeze/thaw cycles causing expansion/contraction of adjacent stone, causing physical deformation.

Is moraines caused by erosion deposition or weathering?

Moraines are primarily formed by deposition, specifically by the movement and deposition of glaciers. As glaciers move, they pick up rock debris through a process of erosion and transport this material to the glacier's terminus, where it is deposited to form moraines. Weathering may contribute to the breakdown of rock material that eventually gets incorporated into the glacier, but it is not the main cause of moraine formation.

Does weathering must take place before erosion?

Weathering does not necessarily have to take place before erosion. While weathering is the breakdown of rocks into smaller particles, erosion is the process of transporting these particles to a new location. Weathering can occur simultaneously with erosion or even after erosion has started.

What are the synonyms for weathering erosion deposition?

Weathering: disintegration, decomposition, deterioration Erosion: abrasion, corrosion, scouring Deposition: accumulation, sedimentation, deposit
