it is found in my car exhaust fumes and under rocks Edit: Carbon can be found in many typical things including: Car exhaust, ashes, diamonds*, etc.

*diamonds are a form of carbon itself.

Carbon is the lead in your standard pencil.

If you have ever have a barbecue in the charcoal is carbon as well.

Diamond is also carbon as well, just heated to a very high temperature and high pressure
