its not incineration its landfills whats better. because burning them releses toxic fumes.

But land fills relese a toxics called lecahte but only old landfills relese that so you chose i guess but all i am saying is that landfills are better.

When was the first landfill created?

The first modern landfill is often credited to the Fresno Municipal Sanitary Landfill in California, which began operating in 1937. This landfill introduced the concept of burying waste in trenches instead of incinerating it, setting the standard for modern landfill design and management.

What is the cost of a landfill?

The cost of a landfill can vary greatly depending on location, size, regulations, and operational costs. Generally, it can range from hundreds of thousands to millions of dollars to develop and operate a landfill.

What is landfill overload?

Landfill overload occurs when a landfill reaches its maximum capacity and can no longer accept waste, leading to environmental and health risks. This can result in overflowing garbage, increased pollution, and potential contamination of soil and water sources. Proper waste management and recycling efforts can help alleviate landfill overload.

What goes into a landfill site?

Landfill sites typically contain household waste such as plastic, paper, glass, and food scraps, as well as commercial and industrial waste. Hazardous materials, such as chemicals and batteries, are also disposed of in specialized sections of the landfill. Additionally, construction and demolition debris like concrete, wood, and metal are commonly found in landfill sites.

How much rubbish is in a landfill?

The amount of rubbish in a landfill can vary widely depending on its size, location, and usage. Landfills typically hold between hundreds of tons to millions of tons of waste. Over time, the amount of rubbish in a landfill will continue to grow as more waste is deposited.

What are the advantages of incinerating?

There are several advantages of incineration. A couple of the advantages are reduction in waste and no greenhouse gases at any landfill.

What are 4 modes of disposal of waste?

incineration composting landfill open damping

Why does incineration have less environmental impact then landfill?

i guess because it doesn't take up as much room or smell and incineration gets rid of it does that sound bout right? (:

Why is the disposal of polymers by incineration and in landfill sites?

Disposal of polymers via incineration is done to reduce the volume of waste and generate energy. Landfill disposal is used when recycling or incineration is not feasible, contributing to pollution and greenhouse gas emissions. Both methods have negative environmental impacts and should be minimized through waste reduction and recycling efforts.

What are the benefits of waste incineration?

Waste incineration can help reduce the volume of waste, generate energy, and decrease the need for landfill space. It can also help in managing hazardous waste and reducing greenhouse gas emissions.

Why is incineration a better option than burning of wastes?

Incineration is a better option than burning of wastes because it is a controlled process that burns waste at high temperatures, reducing the volume of waste and minimizing air pollution. Incineration also allows for the recovery of energy through waste-to-energy processes, providing a more sustainable solution for waste management.

what are the different types of waste management?

Recycling Composting Anaerobic Digestion General Waste Management Hazardous Waste Management Landfill Incineration

Is burning paper better than sending it to the landfill?

no because paper can help soil

What are good things about incineration?

Incineration can reduce the volume of waste by up to 90%, reducing the need for landfill space. It can also generate energy through the combustion process, providing a source of renewable energy. Additionally, modern incineration facilities employ advanced air pollution control technologies to minimize emissions.

Is the rocket launcher better than the incineration cannon?

At maximum ammo, both weapons have 6 rounds. The Incineration Cannon is better because it deals much more damage than a rocket launcher. For example, you may need 3 rockets to take down a Scorpion tank, but 1 blast from the Cannon can destroy it if both stages hit their mark.

What are some methods of hazardous waste diposal?

Hazardous waste can be disposed of by: * Incineration * Chemical reaction/treatment * Use as raw material * Burial in a secure landfill * Storage * Solidification followed by burial

What are Advantages and disadvantage of incineration?

Advantage: It Burns Your Trash and Keeps it from Going to a Landfill (taking less space and making trash in the landfills decrease)Disadvantage: It Pollutes the Air and Destroys the Ozone Layer
