Pewter is a metal alloy, traditionally between 85 and 99 percent tin, with the remainder commonly consisting of copper, antimony and lead. Copper and antimony act as hardeners while lead is common in the lower grades of pewter

Pewter is cast like most metals, but at a lower temperature.

Modern pewters must contain at least 90% tin to be considered a pewter. They also no longer contain appreciable amounts of lead, which has been replaced by copper, antimony and bismuth

Pewteris an alloy of 85% o 98% tin, and the rest lead, antimony, copper, bismuth or some other trace elements. Casting is the process of pouring molten metal into a form to make an object.
So as a verb "pewter casting" describes the action; as a noun "pewter casting" describes an object made by the process.
