From my limited amateur igloo making experience, it depends on the air temperature and wind.
The best hardening, meaning it made fast sturdy snow blocks, happened at around -9°C (16°F). I would pack fluffy or crystalline snow in my wooden snow mold, and it would be a hard block in around 45 minutes. I can't explain how this happens, but no heat or melting was involved, since it was WAY below freezing, and often in the dark, so no heat from the sun either.
Colder than -9C would make more brittle blocks that would break easily, and temps around -3°C (26°F) would not harden the block well, unless it sat for many hours.
After the block comes out of the mold, allowing it to sit in the wind hardens it into a much sturdier block, but the timing I'm not sure of.
About a hour mabye a day
About an hour. But if you start off with a gallon of snow, you'll have much less than a gallon of water when it all melts.
A glacier forms in a place where snow builds up for years. The main thing is that it has to be in a place where the snow does not melt in the summer. After so long, the weight of the snow compresses and becomes as, and as long as more snow falls on top of that glacier, that is what happens..... ^.^ I hope this answer helped!
Any under 0. It is a mistake to think it can be too cold for snow. As long as the temperature is under 0 degrees snow is possible.
the great snow of 1717 is said to be the largest blizzard to ever take place in the northeast u.s.a.
That depends on the roof, but the snow simply has to exceed the maximum amount the roof was designed to carry.
It takes at least 3 days to harden.
At least a month to dry and another week to harden
it depends upon the condition of snow. if snow is fresh it will take 20 minutes
2 years
I hope it doesn't take too long, considering my dad poured hot wax into one of our toilets. He said that he wanted to see wax harden instantly.
3-4 years
No, it woud take too long to harden and would very likely shrink.
After a fracture, about 6 weeks although bone remodeling is constantly going on.
30 minutes to the touch and 24 hours to be functional. If the Mortar is being used in a fireplace or chimney a week or more may be required.
a snow lepards tail is 50cm long
by not leaving the substance in a moist environment and by putting it into a stove and leaving it their for about 2-3 days on a very high temperature.
It would basicly take a month to build one
