With no dispute at all, all groups agree that the planet has always gone through cycles that last about 100K years. No science group disputes that this warming trend started 10,200 years ago. No science group disputes that the planet has warmed about 11 degrees C in this time. Currently people believe that the planet has warmed about 0.6 degrees since the lows of the last mini ice age (1850) and almost all of this prior to 1938. From 1938 until 1979 the planet cooled and then reheated until 1998. No record years have been seen for over 7 years by any science based accounts globally.

Are climate and weather short term changes in earths greenhouse effect?

Weather refers to short-term atmospheric conditions in a specific place at a specific time, while climate refers to long-term patterns of temperature, humidity, wind, and precipitation in a region over time. The greenhouse effect influences both weather and climate by trapping heat in the Earth's atmosphere, leading to global warming.

How can the release of carbon dioxide as pollution affect Earths climates?

The release of carbon dioxide as pollution contributes to the greenhouse effect by trapping heat in the atmosphere. This leads to global warming, causing shifts in climate patterns such as rising temperatures, melting ice caps, and more frequent extreme weather events. Long-term effects may include sea level rise, changing ecosystems, and disruption of weather patterns.

The condition of the atmosphere over a long period of time is called what?

Such is known as its climate.

Why was it difficult for scientists to predict how earths climate will be affected by changes in the atmosphere?

Predicting how Earth's climate will be affected by changes in the atmosphere is difficult because the climate system is complex and influenced by numerous interacting factors, making it challenging to model accurately. Additionally, human activities can introduce unpredictable variables that further complicate predictions. The long timescales and nonlinear dynamics of the climate system also contribute to the uncertainty in predicting future climate outcomes.

How long has climate change been around for?

Climate change has been occurring for millions of years as part of the Earth's natural processes. However, the current issue of anthropogenic climate change, mainly driven by human activities like burning fossil fuels and deforestation, has been a concern for several decades. The scientific consensus is that human activities have been significantly impacting the Earth's climate since the Industrial Revolution in the 18th century.

Does the Earths climate remain the same over time?

No, the Earth's climate is constantly changing due to natural factors such as volcanic eruptions and solar variations, as well as human activities like burning fossil fuels. These changes can lead to shifts in temperature, precipitation patterns, and sea levels over long periods of time.
