An Era is not a standard measure of time, such as year, century, millennium etc are. An Era is a given perioud in all history which is characterised by a certain attribute and is limitit by any two major changes, one at the beginning and the other at the end. An Era can last from a few ceturies, such as the Middle Ages or the exact reign of some monarch (such as the Victorian Era in the case of Great Britain's Queen Victoria) up to hundreds of millions of years in the case of Geological Eras.
How long a pierod of time is. For instence, the Tudor era lasted from 1485 to 1603.
