The rainbows colors are arranged in the order of Red Orange Yellow Green Blue Indigo Violet and consist of ALL the colors perceived by the human eye.

The colors that our eye percieves as color are actually different frequencies of light. What can be seen by the human eye is a small sliver of all the different frequencies of light.

Our vision adapted under direct sunlight, and the human color spectrum is within the range of light frequencies presented to us by sunlight, and different among different animals.

In a rainbow, the light is refracted (broken apart) by the sky into different angles, we perceive this as a rainbow.

Sunlight consists of all colors of light and certain individuals, it has been discovered, see more colors due to having 4 color sensing cones in their eyes instead of the usual 3.
