How do rubbish dumps affect the world?

Rubbish dumps contribute to air, water, and soil pollution through the release of harmful chemicals and greenhouse gases. They can also harm wildlife by disrupting ecosystems and leaching toxic substances into the environment. In addition, rubbish dumps can create unsightly landscapes and pose health risks to nearby communities.

How might irrigation harm soil and soil organisms?

Excessive irrigation can lead to waterlogging and soil compaction, disrupting the soil structure and reducing oxygen availability for soil organisms. It can also leach away nutrients and increase soil salinity, which can harm soil microbial communities and plant growth. Over time, these effects can degrade soil health and productivity.

How might irrigation harm soil and soil organisims?

Over-irrigation can lead to waterlogging of soil, making it difficult for oxygen to reach plant roots and soil organisms. This can suffocate soil organisms and disrupt their habitats. Additionally, excess irrigation can leach nutrients from the soil, causing nutrient imbalances that impact soil health and organism diversity.

Why do people bury garbage and spray on soil to kill nests?

Burying garbage helps to contain and decompose waste in a controlled manner, reducing environmental contamination. Spraying on soil to kill nests is a method to control pests, such as insects or rodents, that may pose health risks or cause damage to crops or structures. These practices aim to manage waste and pests in a way that minimizes harm to both the environment and human health.

How can a garbage dump pollute the surrounding soil and water resources?

Garbage Dumping decreases the amount of oxygen in the ocean, which kills aquatic life. Also the man-made soaps and detergents cotaminate the rivers, lakes and streams. Some of the wastes are poisonous to fish. These wastes include arsenic, lead, cyanide, and ammonia. Also when the garbage eventually turns to soil, the soil piles up until the rivers and lakes are overcome completely

How Garbage affects plants?

Garbage can negatively affect plants by releasing toxins and chemicals into the soil, contaminating water sources, and inhibiting the plant's ability to absorb nutrients and water. This can lead to stunted growth, poor health, and ultimately the death of the plant. Additionally, garbage can attract pests and diseases that can further harm plants.

Where do the things go when throw away stuff?

When you throw things away, they are typically taken to a landfill or an incinerator. Landfills are designated areas where garbage is buried under layers of soil. Incinerators burn garbage at high temperatures to reduce its volume. Some items can also be recycled or composted to minimize waste sent to landfills.

Can garbage be important for plants?

Yes, some plants benefit from decomposed garbage as it provides nutrients that improve soil quality. However, it is important to note that not all garbage is suitable for plants, as some can contain toxins or chemicals that may harm them. It's best to compost organic waste properly to ensure it is safe for plants.
