Best Answer

Zinc can and cannot be a strong metal. The way zinc is used today is not to substitute for strong metals like iron, steel, titanium etc. it is used because at the moment it is cheap and it is now competing with chrome(Chromium) as being renound for not rusting or tarnishing. Here are the statistics... Zinc is strong vs impact, weak vs scratch, weak vs bend, ok vs pulling apart, and melts easily.
