Igneous rock is formed from volcanic activity, so anywhere volcanoes have contributed to the landscape you should find igneous rock. Try Hawaii, Washington state (Mt. St. Helens) or Greece (Mt. Etna). Igneous comes from the latin for "from the action of fire"
