Water is heaviest at 40 degrees. This is why a pond freezes from the top down. The water in the pond can't freeze until the entire body reaches 40 degrees. Once the surface water reaches 40 degrees it sinks into warmer water. This cyclical activity preserves life and can only be explained by God because science can't explain it.
