---- We have started global warming
if it was a normal cycle we would not be here today
(the world would be a very different place)
Hope that answers your Questions

No. The normal cycle of the earth heating and cooling happens over thousands of years. This current global warming has been sudden and rapid, since we began burning fossil fuel at the start of the Industrial Revolution, but more especially in the last 60 years.
The earth moves very slowly in and out of one Ice Age after the other, taking many thousands of years to change.
The present global warming is very very different; it has happened very suddenly, with most of the temperature rise in the last 50 years. This global warming is not at all cyclical.
In spite of all the dire predictions, there is absolutely no concrete evidence that global warming would attribute to any change in weather patterns, if it were truly occurring. Despite many studies, there has been no sign of any significant warming since 1998, nor any change in weather patterns, other than those which the earth cycles through on a regular basis. A link between the two concepts is therefore impossible to study clearly and no correlation can be proven.
A:It is difficult to say with any certainty if global warming is changing today's weather. Weather happens every day, whereas climate is the pattern emerging from a lot of weather over time. We need to wait to see what patterns arise before we can be sure.Scientists studying global warming suggest that global warming will mean that "weather events" (storms, tornadoes, droughts, floods, etc) will become more frequent and more severe. How do we know if this is happening?
Insurance companies take a great interest in weather damage, as they have to determine costs for cover and compensation.
A recent report from Munich Re Insurance (see the link below) states that the insured losses from thunderstorms and tornadoes in the US were, in 2011 dollars:
1980: $US 2.5 billion
1990: $US 4 billion
2000: $US 4.2 billion
2008: $US 10.8 billion
2009: $US 9.9 billion
2010: $US 10.9 billion
2011: $US 25 billion
There are various reasons why the 2011 figure is so large (including the facts that buildings may be more expensive, or that more people are taking out insurance) but the possibility also remains that "weather events" are becoming more frequent and more severe. Time will tell.
Answer:
Data from the US EPA (Link) indicates that there have been changes in weather related issues such as precipitation, drought severity, cyclonic storm energy and maximum overnight lows.
There is a very human tendency for those on one side of an argument to observe things that support their view and chuckle with glee and say "I told you so!" In the case of "strange" weather the denialists point to cool summers heavy snow and ask where the global warming has got to and warmists see the drought and heavy snowfalls as a direct compliance with their predictions.
In truth "weather" s not a good indicator as it is localized and short term. What a person should watch are long term trends - sea ice, glaciers, multi year droughts, sea currents, animal and plant territory changes.
Latest evidence shows that cyclic weather patterns to be the norm.

The theory of global warming became popular in the early 70's. As for how old actual global warming is, is debatable. Some argue that global warming is a natural cycle the earth goes through every so many centuries.
Global warming is the name given to the recent (over 200 years) gradual increase in the temperature of Earth's atmosphere.
Too much carbon dioxide in the atmosphere is causing global warming. The natural carbon cycle is overwhelmed and can't move out all the extra gas. The extra gas is turning the natural greenhouse effect into an accelerated greenhouse effect, which is causing global warming.

The Earth is warming faster than in previous natural cycles.
I don't think its naturally happening, I think we gave up on our planet and it is now giving up on us.A:Warming and cooling of the planet happens in cycles. We are now moving toward a warming period. Human activity has accelerated the cycle but has not caused the natural progression of Global warming/ Global cooling.
The idea that Global Warming is a natural cycle is well understood from paleo.

Respiration is part of the carbon cycle and does not affect global warming.
