yes. every living thing --except plants-- needs oxygen in order to survive. we "filter" the air that has many substances and gases in it --such as pollution, oxygen, CO2 (carbon dioxide), hydrogen, etc. --and use the oxygen for our immune system, internal organs, and other necessary things inside of us that need oxygen. we also take in the other gases in the air and breathe out what we don't need. one of the gases that we mainly breathe out is CO2, since there is an increase of it in our atmosphere because of global warming.

one of the things that produce oxygen is plants. when they take in CO2, they give out oxygen. that is why plants are very important and we need to stop global warming and other natural effects caused by man kind. now do you understand why oxygen is good for you?
