Sand and water mixed is a mixture. Elements are substances with only one type of atoms. Compounds are substances made up of chemically bonded particles. Since sand and water are neither of these, it must be a mixture.
compound sorry, it's actually a mixture, see the "Is salt water a compound?" question I just answered.
It is a mixture. A homogeneous type of mixture because each substance is equally mixed. Bubbles are made of alcohol, soap, and vinegar. :D
Water is the compound. Iodine and calcium are elements, and air is a mixture.
Grass is a mixture of different compounds, such as cellulose, water, proteins, and minerals. It is not an element because it is made up of multiple types of molecules.
If made from pure distilled water it is a compound. But usually it is a mixture.
The distilled water is a compound. But usually water is mixed with other compounds or minerals. So water is a mixture.
Vinegar is a compound and a mixture, being mainly acetic acid (compound)mixed into water (another compound).
Grain alcohol is a homogeneous mixture because it is composed of alcohol and water, which are completely mixed at the molecular level. It is not an element or compound on its own, but a mixture of different substances.

Water is a compound.
Water is a compound.
Pond water is a mixture because it is not purely water, which is made up of 2 hydrogens and an oxygen element and thus a compound, but is also mixed with other things such as dirt
Tap water is not a pure substance because it is mixed with chemicals that purify it and if it was from the ground it has naturally occurring minerals mixed in it.

Water is a compound. it is neither element nor mixture.
Water is a compound. Seawater is a mixture containing salts as well as water.
