I would say it is renewable, but with a major factor bring time. For example, a deforested area can be restored in as little as 20-40 with proper care (an evergreen forest). A badly polluted river can be also be restored in a few decades with proper care; for example the Cuyahoga River, which was so polluted that it caught on fire in 1969. Restoration efforts begun in the late 80's have yielded a significant reduction in pollution and the restoration of several fish species. Other forms of scenic beauty are renewable only on a a geologic time scale. For example, if a stone arch is destroyed, another one will form, but this could millions of years. Reefs may take ten or hundreds of thousands of years to re-grow.
