It has had some of the world's most severe droughts, famines, cyclones, earthquakes, chemical disasters, mid-air head-on air collisions, rail accidents, and road accidents. India is also one of the most terrorist prone countries. Terrorist attacks like the recent one in Mumbai and many others over the years. Epidemics that hit the World every few decades. Famines due to crop failures, made worse by Global Warming. Man made disasters like the Bhopal chemical disaster. Freak cold spell in the Northern region Heat waves which get worse with Global Warming. Cyclones from the Indian Ocean Tsunami's along the coastline from earthquakes Monsoonal rains that cause severe flooding. Droughts that leaves people with little or no water. Earthquakes. Mudslides/landslides from heavy rains. Rising sea level due to Global Warming. Sea level is expected to rise at least 5 feet this century. Desertification of former croplands due to global Warming. Snow avalanches in the mountainous regions.
