∙ 12y agoThe one factor that almost every scientist agrees on is that solar variation has been the initial cause of this warming period which started some 10,000 years ago.
As for the more rapid global warming that began at the beginning of the Industrial Age and became very apparent towards the end of the twentieth century, there is a general scientific consensus that a portion of this results from an increase in atmospheric greenhouse gas concentrations, resulting from human activities.

Scientists conclude that the main factor in climate change is the present global warming from the burning of fossil fuels(coal, oil and natural gas) and deforestation (cutting down trees which previously removed carbon dioxide (CO2) from the atmosphere).
This varies based on the person. However, the single biggest factor in environmental science is global warming.
We have no idea how many agree.A:The AAAS (American Association for the Advancement of Science) boasts about ten million members internationally, including 262 societies and academies of science. That is huge, and probably larger than the number of scientists world wide. A better estimate for the number of scientists and researchers would probably in the neighborhood of 6 million. Not all of them accept the general consensus of anthropogenic global warming. To estimate that number, we would need a representative poll of scientists, of whom probably fewer than 2000 lay claim to recent specific work in climate science. A survey nearly ten years old indicated 97% out of 1372 climate scientists who responded accepted the consensus, which tallies to 1330 people. But of scientists in general, the percent would be lower. Many of them would not be aware of specific research, or even all that interested in results far outside their field of expertise. Nevertheless, a poll of general scientists revealed about 80% concurred with the consensus, suggesting the total number of scientists who accept global warming would be approximately 4.6 million.A:Most scientists and their organizations around the world believe that global warming is happening and it is being caused by human actions, burning fossil fuels andcutting down forests.Scientific Organizations that accept the broad scientific consensus that global warming is happening include:NASA's Goddard Institute for Space Studies in New YorkAmerican Association for the Advancement of Science (AAAS)National Research CouncilAmerican Institute of PhysicsEuropean Academy of Sciences and ArtsEuropean Science FoundationThe United Nations' Intergovernmental Panel of Climate Change (IPCC)American Geophysical UnionUS National Academy of ScienceAmerican Meteorological AssociationAmerican Medical AssociationAmerican Astronomical SocietyJoint Science AcademiesAmerican Meteorological SocietyNetwork of African Science AcademiesInternational Union for Quaternary ResearchAustralian Coral Reef Society.

The contributing factor here is global warming, that's the real issue
A:Generating electricity from fossil fuels is the one human activity that contributes more than any other to increased atmospheric greenhouse gas levels and is therefore considered to be the main contributing factor in global warming. Thus, any human activity that creates an increased demand for electricity is effectively contributing to global warming. Next comes motor transport, because this requires us to burn oil, one of the main fossil fuels.
Yes, it is a contributing factor.

The largest factor is the amount of labor.
A mass impact threw dust into the atmosphere; this "shaded" the Earth from the Sun's warming rays.
Yes, pollution is a contributing factor. There are many types of pollution, all of which cause degradation of the natural environment.
